How many of us can say we have been truly held and honoured during the postpartum period, motherhood or during the days of moving into menopause?

These periods in a women's life can be monumental, a time when being held, supported, nourished and honoured is all we deserve.

Yet historically in our culture we have been encouraged to power on, not to feel and to be independent. 

This way simply doesn't work and we suffer because of it. 

Closing of the bones ceremony  holds its heritage within Mexico and South America, variations have also been found across Africa, Asia and France. 

All with the core intention to hold, aid and honour a mother within the first 40 days of birth.

​Each ceremony will be lovingly & individually prepared by me, for you. 

During the ceremony you will be gently rocked with the rebozo cloth, i will then gently massage your stomach, chest and womb area using a massage oil of your choice. 

​

Womb massage is extremely beneficial to mothers young and old, it has been shown to help your womb to reduce to original size and help move everything back into correct position pre birth including muscle seperation known as diastasis recti.​

once the massage is complete i will begin wrapping you in the rebozo. 

​

I will weave my connection with nature into each ceremony and offer a space that you will only truly know was needed once the ceremony is complete. 

Every women's experience is unique, deeply nourishing and emotional on many levels, often with a huge sense of release, clarity & beauty.

The ceremony can also be empowering & healing during various stages of a women's life such as,

* knowing you have birthed your last child and are starting to learn a little bit about the women you're  unfurling into. 

*When a women/mother has suffered loss, traumatic birth or journeying through grief. 

*processing generational trauma or struggling with anxiety.
