FAQ

  • What COVID-19 rules and measures are in place?
It's crucial that we keep ourselves, little ones and eachother safe. We will be operating in accordance with the latest COVID-19 government guidelines. You should stay cautious to help protect yourself and others. Handwashing facilities are available both indoors and outdoors. Antibacterial gels and NHS check in is available too. As per the guidelines, we are allowing visitors to wear masks at their discretion. Please do not attend our sessions if you are showing any symptons. We will be disinfecting the indoor and outdoor spaces and frequently used equipment daily.
  • What should we wear for the nature sessions?
Our venue is very much a haven for wildlife, because of this, risks of encounters with stinging nettles, brambles and a very small chance of ticks within the long grass on walks is possible. We recommend that legs are covered and suitable footwear worn when not within the classroom area. When appropriate bare feet will be encouraged to support the growth of tiny feet and help build their senses, for this reason i would advise against tights or white socks! Crafts can sometimes include materials such as water colour paint and clay so i would recommend messy play clothing. During winter months full waterproofs are advisable for outdoor activities, if you are new to the world of childrens waterproofs please feel free to pop me a message for guidance and tips on the best options. When out exploring I will always encourage your little people to keep their treasures that they find such as stones and feathers so nice big pockets are a good idea
  • What if it's raining?
The venue has both indoor and outdoor facilities so all sessions will continue throughout the year, in the event of extreme weather, a risk assessment will be carried out and updates of any closure posted on our social channels. Any bookings will be carried over to the next available date. In any case, bring waterproofs!
  • What facilities are there?
We have an indoor toilet and handwashing facilites. We also have outdoor warm water handwashing facilities. Whilst we do have litter bins, please do be prepared to take nappies & rubbish home.
  • What size are the groups?
Capacity has been based on the venue size, good ventilation, best learning experience and to help reduce any anxiety or worries that bigger groups can bring to little people and parents. Bumps and Nurture mums will be up to 10 parents maximum, where as Twins & LGBTQ family meets will be 8.
  • Is it easy to find and what's the parking like?
The postcode (using Google maps) will bring you to the venue, we are tucked away so look out Bear, she'll be pointing you in the right direction. We have a large drive area for up to 10 cars, if you are coming with a friend and able to, please do car share where possible to help with space and to be a little bit more green. Upon arrival please park in the allocated bays. You'll be sent full instructions with your bookings too.
